Retail with a Purpose

Out of a desire to bring glory to God by serving those looking for a less expensive alternative to basic necessities, the Lost But Found thrift store offers resale with a purpose: to be a blessing to all who walk through the doors for anyone to shop no matter what the economic status! Opportunities to volunteer exist as well on an as-needed basis.

Donation Procedures

Donations are accepted at the store during regular business hours, up until 30 minutes prior to closing.

All items that are dropped off become the property of ATLAS of Lyon County. Please be sure of the donation before leaving it. REMOVING ITEMS FROM THE DROPBOX OR THE STORE COULD RESULT IN A LEGAL PENALTY.

Items that we are unable to receive include:

  • Furniture/appliances/larger items - contact our Purposeful Pieces Facebook page or 712-739-1479
  • R-Rated Movies or DVDs
  • Tires
  • Paint
  • Electronics (cell phones, outdated televisions)
  • Baby cribs, swings, strollers, play pens, car seats, and other safety risks
  • Any items that are soiled or broken
  • Out-of-style/clothes that are more than 5-10 years old
  • Holiday/seasonal items that are more than six months away from being useful

Please help the ministry from accruing unnecessary dumping costs by refraining from donating things that do not fall within these guidelines. All donations are tax deductible. Please feel free to request a donor form. Proceeds from the sale of items go to continue the ministry of ATLAS of Lyon County, in the office attached to the store.

God bless you for your contribution to furthering the ministry! The ATLAS of Lyon County and Lost But Found thrift store team is grateful for your contributions.

"And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:9-10)
